Dr. Jean W. Pape is the Director of GHESKIO, as well as a Professor of Medicine at Weill Cornell. He is Principal Investigator of the GHESKIO Clinical Trials Unit (CTU) and PEPFAR program. He has received numerous honors, including the Legion of Honor from the President of France for his “contributions to the Haitian people and that of the people of the world” (2002), election to the United States Institute of Medicine of the National Academy of Medicine (2004), and the Clinton Global Citizen Award for his visionary leadership in helping Haitians develop their public health system (2010). Dr. Pape was named the Holtzmann Professor of Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College in 2014.
